Chemical Brothers - Star Guitar

This was also a video discussed in class during the last few months at the start of our music video project. We had a lesson with Barney in which he showed us a video directed by the infamous Michel Gondry, for the Chemical Brothers. The video is called 'Star Guitar'.

I had forgotten the name of the video so asked again what it was called, otherwise I would have added it earlier. I think this video is one of the best i've seen, literally everything that happens in the video matches with the music track excellently. I have never seen this kind of video and to watch it the first time in class was pretty impressive! It makes it crystal clear that Michel Gondry is truly an excellent director and nothing less.

The video is simply an extended train ride but after watching closely the meaning behind the video becomes clear. Every building, lamppost, telephone line, train, tree, hill etc matches with a beat, pulse or rhythm in the music - this is a dark horse of Gondry's videos. While most favour his 'Fell in love with a girl' animation video or the infamous Kylie Minouge one, many fail to see how much effort, time, preparation and editing this must have taken in order to create such a video.
