Reflection from Colleridge

On Monday morning we were shown a few student videos from media A2 groups from the previous years. It was very interesting to see some student work from long road, and considering I had researched some videos off youtube I had actually found a video from Youtube which was from long road two years ago. I didn't know this at the time but thought the video was well made and effective.

We were shown a few videos, one which featured a electro kind of video, called 'DJ's got a gun'. It did not have a main artist but a few various ones - and I think this would make the video harder to do as you are not simply focusing on one person. They had used a lot of effects such as flashing text. coloured backgrounds etc and this was because apparently they had run out of time. The video was effective but at some times was a bit confusing.

We were also shown two other videos which were attempts at copying an indie band style genre video. They were both effective and showed how camerawork, lighting and confident actors play a big part in the final outcome of the video in order for it to be effective.
