Fast Forward Transition

Here I have researched how to do a certain transition on Final Cut, which is fast forwarding and slowing don some footage on Final Cut, this appears quite simple, but the idea we have for the video is apparently quite hard to create.

I think could be effective in our music video. I am not sure if any music videos feature this, but the idea is to have the main singer of the band in a busy street, walking towards the camera. We would then have the various people around him fast forward so that they appear to be moving at a very fast pace, and we would have the main singer on a slower transition so that he appears to be the main attraction in the shot.

I have spoken to Matt L about this and he says the only way he can think of to try and create this kind of effect would be to have 3 split screens in final cut, the people either side of the main singer as a split screen and the main singer as a split screen, but this is apparently quite hard. If we could pull the effect off it would be a great transition to have in the music video and I think it could be a good idea.
